Personally, I'm not really a sniper or an automatic guy, although I'm ok at both. I like mid-range rifles better. I like a gun that has an ok rate of fire, but is still accurate enough for me to pop somebody in the head a little ways out there. Hopefully, they'll have some weapons like that.
Hard to say if that kind of gun would be useful in this game though. Huxley sounds more like automatic pwnage mixed with strategic sniper support (IMO). |

well, if it is for some wacked out reason, and it does shoot 600, there is no way you could hit a herd of obese elephants with it. No way that isnt a typo though, so whatever

Most likely what is meant is 600 shots per minute which translates (unless my math is wrong) 10 shots per second, that is pretty good speed still.

If you place a steady stream of well aimed fire.....about 2-3 seconds per shot at someone, they will keep their head down. Then you can have some agile MOFO run around to his side and take him out. The high rates of fire are nice though.

I would be surprised if this game included a variable cone of fire.
If the devs like fast gameplay a la UT/Quake, the most important element is precision. Things like recoil and cones of fire that change based on movement totally kill that. It just completely changes the style of play. I just hope they put in enough beta testing time for gameplay balances like that, because every little element of combat in this game could have a huge impact on how well it works. |
