Doing Our Own Huxley Interview
A couple of us moderators had an idea to secure our own interview with someone from WebZen. Preferably KJ Kang.
We've decided to go through with it. An attempt anyway. As the largest most active Huxley community site, I think we can pull it off. I would hope to think WebZen would jump on the idea of answering questions posed by members of the largest collection of future Huxley players on the net. But first... What we need from YOU are the questions. Our goal is to come up with 10. Once we have enough we're going to send webzen a request for an email interview. Keep in mind there is the possibility that WebZen doesn't respond. We're going to try anyway. So. Thread rules. -Anyone can post a question, but BEFORE you post.... -Search BOTH this forum and the internet to make sure your question doesn't already have an answer. -Your question should have a journalistic tone to it, check out the other interviews to get an idea of how to form your question. -Keep in mind that your question shouldn't be overly specific, refer to the existing interviews as a guide. -Another reason to look at the interviews is to make sure your question isn't a rehash of something already asked. -Feel free to research someone else's question if you think there's already an answer to it somewhere. -If selected, your question will appear on THIS post. Again, our goal is 10 questions. ---------------- All the interviews that i could find: OGaming - No Date Available IGN - May 3, '06 Shacknews Interview - July 7, '06 X360 - March 31, '05 Gamespot - Apr 12, '06 ---------------- Interview Questions. 1. Tell us a bit about the player interaction outside of PvP, many community members are curious about the player-created quests and the nature of Huxley's ingame economy. 2. Can you give us any insight about the guild system in Huxley? 3. How does race and faction factor into character's initial abilities, do any initial advantages continue to be of use throughout a character's stages of growth? 4. What does Huxley offer to the gamer who likes to Roleplay? 5. Can you tell us what kinds of persistent effects battles will have on individual players, the winning and losing factions, and on the battlefield itself? 6. What kind of room will there be for larger-scale team strategy in the game amid the fast-paced style of gameplay in Huxley? For instance, will it be possible to make life hard for the other team in certain ways like destroying base equipment for example. 7.Can you tell us anything about the extent to which players will be able to customize the look of their characters outside of race and faction? 8.There are quite a few rumors surrounding the XBox360 version of the game as far as playability of races and the extent of cross-platform interaction. Can you explain the major differences between the two versions of the game? These interview questions will be submitted later today (it's 3am right now). Cross your fingers, Knock on wood, pray, etc. Hopefully we get a good response. Last edited by 187 Phantom; 21-06-2007 at 01:00 PM. |

Re: Doing our own interview
1. With all the items that will be available in Huxley will there be a player market and creation of items? If so how will commerce be implemented in Huxley? How will characters gain the skills to create items?
2. Will Huxley support player created quests, and if so how will these quests get to the other players willing to do them? 3. Many Role Playing Games allow for the player to create a building for their character or guild, will this be available in Huxley? And also with a grouping of player made buildings, could they become a town? 4. We know you cannot get very specific with pricing, however, much of our community is hoping for some light to be shed on any monthly or yearly fees that playing Huxley will require, or if there will be a one time fee, as in Guild Wars? 5. Will there be an open beta anytime soon for the US or will it be restricted to Korea? Please do not repeat questions other users have submitted, if they are more specific or on a different track than the question, please post them. Also type up your questions as I have done as a journalist would do for an interview, you have the time, we do not have a deadline so think your questions out, mine took thirty minutes. Current Compilation (not final) 1. 4. Will there be an open beta anytime soon for the US or will it be restricted to Korea? 6. Will you be able to cutomize your weapons and if so in what ways can you customize them, is there anything else that will be customizable? Also dealing with customization how much customization will be in each character in Huxley? 7. Will each faction in Huxley get different weapons and weapon types? How about vehicles and other items? 8. How will the battlefields work in terms of squads, platoons, commanders, and voice chat? Will dying mean loosing the weapons you had with you at the time?

Re: Doing our own interview
1.How deeply have you worked on Huxley's storyline? Is it roleplay worthy? Would you roleplay?
2. What are the strengths and weaknesses of each race? Would a alteraver always be a better as a enforcer than a syn? Or would each have their own special uses?

Re: Doing our own interview
Hello,
I might be wrong but i think my post was very constructive... Maybe the most constructive of this threat. If i have offense anyone i am sorry for this. That wasn't the point. The point was if you really want an interview from Webzen you have to act like a journalist. You have to post questions that make sense. This thread isn't. And if you can't do it... well... let the journalists do their job. Best regards. Zaratoustra |

Re: Doing our own interview
My questions at the momment.
Will there be a way (As in planetside) To create platoons to increase the size of a group. 4 people per squad seems rather limited. How will troop carrying transports, air and ground, work with load times? Will there be battlefield vehicles one can buy or will they only be battle vehicles found on the maps? (Clarification of the IGN article stating that there will be vehicles spawned on maps and civilian (non-combat) vehicles for city use) Will any of the battlegrounds be persistent? Ones that like Planetside can be controlled by opposing factions? Will there be a meta game goal, or will it be only be individual goals. (Goals for the player him or herself)

Re: Doing our own interview
Hey man you can never be sure of anything they could add or change anything about the game. Even if they announced that they would do a certain thing with the game they could change their minds and remove it. Im not going to go into denial about monthly fees but it might be lower than the price you mentioned if they put advertisements in Huxley. They can change how many can fit in APC than what the video has.
